After School Harvest Party
Modesto, CA- Burbank Elem. School After School Program

Burbank Elementary After School Program hosted their first Parent Harvest Party on November 24, 2009. Students that attend the program worked on decorations, invitations, and thank you notes to make this an outstanding event.  This was a great experience for most parents as they learned the after school program offers more than just a safe place for students during the non-school hours. Stanislaus County PAL donated water, a thanksgiving dinner, and other snacks for students and families.  Students, PAL staff, and Modesto City Schools after school staff did a great job in coordinating and delivering such a memorable event for the everyone in attendance.

Patterson/Westley After School Programs
Patterson, CA- Patterson Housing Authority After School Program

The PAL programs in Patterson and Westley have been enjoying a new partner in their communities, deputy Tom Fara  has now become a positive influence to the youth in these communities. Deputy Fara is an active deputy that puts in a lot of time with the youth of both Patterson and Westley.  He assists in the events we host.  Deputy Fara speaks to the youth one on one to give them sound advice, allowing them to know that he does care about the youth in the community.

Both programs in Patterson and Westley are working on their holiday events and the youth are happy to assist staff in the planning of holiday events.
