In 1992, Stanislaus County Police Activities League (SCPAL) collaborated with Housing Authority County of Stanislaus to provide community and recreation services at three migrant camps in Stanislaus County. The goal of this collaboration was to prevent and or reduce juvenile crime and violence activities at the migrant and low-income housing camps in the areas of Oakdale, Patterson and Westley.
Over the years, our success in these communities has had a great positive outcome in the life of the youth living in these camps. The centers in this community provide services to youth such as computer labs, outdoor and indoor recreation activities, arts and crafts, tutoring, and assistance to adults residing in these communities.
Currently Stanislaus County PAL provides services at the following locations: |
