Friends of Stanislaus County PAL,
On behalf of Stanislaus County Police Activities League, we thank you for your ongoing support and patronage and for all that you do to help us help the children of our communities. Stanislaus County PAL is a Non Profit Organization 501(c)(3) that strives to provide under privileged, and at-risk youth with pro-active recreational, educational, cultural, and social programs in our communities. We currently provide After School Programs, Sports Programs and Youth Sports Leagues, Aquatics Programs, Martial Arts Programs, Community Assistance and Summer Lunch Programs, along with Youth Scholarships, Field Trips and Enrichment Activities. Stanislaus County PAL provides these programs at no and low-cost to over 25 School and Community Center locations and gives thousands of children each month a place to go free from gangs, drugs, and violence.
With the recent economic downturn, Stanislaus County PAL lost significant funding from one of our longest partners, Stanislaus County, which affected most of our community based programs. We have now been presented the opportunity to raise the much needed funding to continue providing services to the youth we serve.
Dan Costa and the Costa Family Foundation developed an idea to give back to the community, specifically with agencies that work with youth, by creating a highly delectable champagne community brunch event that will serve approximately 3,000 people. This event will give five non-profit youth charity organizations the opportunity to compete and raise funding for their cause, while also initiating a one-of-a-kind community event that will be providing a sophisticated brunch and enjoyable entertainment in a pleasant setting. The Community Brunch Serving Youth Fundraiser will be held on Sunday September 9th, 2012 at John Thurman Field in Modesto, CA.
